This guy has been in the holding tank at lfs for several days and doesn't seem to be in any distress. I saw him eat some frozen krill today.
I have doubts about which species he is because he doesn't look like any puffer in the pufferpedia.
At first I thought he was a really big figure 8, but he's already around 4+ inches and I've never seen those black spots on a figure 8 puffer.
He is supposedly a freshwater puffer from south Asia and a new species to the aquarium trade.
His marketing name was milk puffer but I saw all milk puffer pictures have small white spots, and he has huge black spots.
Is this a new species, maybe a man made new hybrid, or did I miss something?
Any help would be appreciated

Exact care & feeding as the GSP but it grows larger, so add at least 10 more gallons for this fish. A 55g owuld be perfect for an adult.

You see a lot of these in the uk, also labelled as freshwater but we know that is not the case
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Love these guys. Wished I could make room for one too.
