Can you have a dirted tank with figure eight puffers? And what does it mean if my puffer has stopped eating bloodworms and wont go after the snails i put in for her?

What do you mean by "dirted" tank? F8 puffers do best with a substrate of aragonite sand & a specific gravity of 1.005.
I assume since you posted this in the FW puffer forum, you are keeping them in FW? This could be your problem. How did you cycle the tank before adding the puffer? How large is the tank? Any other inhabitants?

Do you have any test data? Specific gravity? pH? Alkalinity/carbonate-bicarbonate hardness? Ammonia? Nitrite? Nitrate? Tank size?

Was this moved to brackish puffers? Yea a sg of 1.003-1.005. Also interested what dirted means?
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly
