Salinity for Figure 8

Post by littlec »

So I have been increasing the salinity in my Figure 8 puffer's 20 gallon tank for a few weeks but I am not sure where to stop. I've heard .003 to .008. So what is the sweet spot?

I keep mine at 1.004. Rtr did a study, and from what I hear, the longest lived f8s where kept at higher then 1.003 and lower then 1.005.

Just to clarify, tap water is 1.0 right? So I am adding marine salt to bring it up to 1.004?
