Re: tank mates?
A rock.
(hehehe)
Seriously though, if you can deal with the possibility that your GSP could eventually kill all its tankmates, you can try any fast-swimming brackish water fish, such as scats or monos. Some people put bumblebee gobies in with GSPs, from what I've read, but I'll bet they don't last too long.
If you were dealing with full marine conditions, you'd have more choices - like maybe some damsels or other similarly aggressive fish.

You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Re: tank mates?
Yeah maybe although I've tried it without really liking the results - but not because of what you might expect. I've tried it twice and both time the mollies bullied the GSP to the point where all it did was hide. They wouldn't even let the GSP eat, on one of the trials - they'd rush in and gobble up as much food as possible, and charge the GSP and drive it off, even chasing it back down to its cave. I never liked mollies all that much anyway, and these two incidents really turned me sour on them forever.

Hehe PP considering how much I like mollies, I'd find that pretty satisfying to see happen.

Re: tank mates?
haha well ive had 6 mollies in with my 2 gsp's and they just clean up all the left over food so i really like them in my BW tank especially to keep movement and diff colors in the tank. my only issue that ive had with them is the fact that my moray eats one every now and then. but w/e there cheap.
