Nice, my anacharis hasn't been going as well as yours, they seem to be derooted alot
I believe you have small mud puddles mixed up with acres of rice paddies.

Re: Pictures of your setup
It can be pretty hard to keep them buried. I have them looped under the wood, so it holds them down. They grow like crazy. My other tanks aren't doing quite as well with it though.

Re: Pictures of your setup
Yeah. From my experience, the roots aren't essential. Most of mine just have a couple spindly ones coming from the stem, if any at all. I break long strands to make new plants, so they multiply quite fast. But in my other main tank, I used to have several, and now there are just a few like you said. Don't know where they went, actually.

Re: Pictures of your setup
Some fish and such will eat anacharis like mad. I used to get buckets of it from a local turtle club, but my goldfish and turtles would eat it all like crazy. Now I'm down to just a few strands, and I've quit trying to keep any anacharis in my pond...

Re: Pictures of your setup
Does anyone know of a good site to buy fake decorations and/or live plants for a brackish set up?
