Hi,
I'm going to start a new brackish tank with one GSP. The tank is a 50 gallon and is in the process of fishless cycling. The question I have is: I have a Dragon goby that is about 10 inces long and is currently in a FW tank (was told he was FW by the LFS when I bought him) and I want to get him in to a brackish tank ASAP. Would he be compatable with a GSP or would the GSP try to use his fins as a snack? He hides pretty much all day (with his head sticking out) and occasionally comes out from under his log at night. I would sure hate to lose him or have him damaged by another fish since he's so beautiful. I'll post some pics when I can get some of him.

I wouldn't do it.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Me neither.
Aside from the GSP eating away most of the food intended for the goby, it may eventually develop a taste for its fins as you already noted.

Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. Give a fish a man, and he'll eat for weeks.

That's what I was afraid of. Now, to break it to my wife we need another tank!
