I was wondering if those of you who have Green Spotted Puffers (T. Nigroviridis) could take a close look at all their tails. Then post back here if :
-the tail is clear with no spots / dark areas
OR
-the tail has spots / dark areas

If you could also post that specific puffers size as well, that would be awesome.

Thanks ;)

Actually, on the top it looks like there could be a couple very faint spots, I will have to take a closer look at him when I get home today

Spots on the tail might be something that changes with the mood too.

You should read the paper by Dekkers from 1975. Statistics on bars and spots can be found there.

As a side note: Mine had no spots when young, but 1 got bars when gowing up.

Mine had a few spots that were barely visible, it had also had tail rot or maybe had it's tail nipped at by the other puffers from the place i got it. It has since recovered and has no visible spots and it's tail is perfectly fine.
