I have fry!!
I have fry!!
A couple of days ago I did a thorough clean of my DP tank. I remove some java moss that had got out of control and to my surprise I found 3 very tiny DP's. They are obviously new fry and immediatly tried to get some video and pics - proved difficult but I managed. No idea how old they are but are at the stage that they look like tiny DP's. I quickly lost them in the plants and have not seen the again until just now. Two of them are happyily feeding and waiting near the surface for food. The third which looked very weak has not been seen since.
Fantastic news!!

What a rarity. That usually happens with easy egg layers or livebearers. Nice to hear it happens with puffs! How big is the tank again? BTW I'd check the suvattii tank, with this luck your arrowheads bred too

The pics at the moment are next to useless I'm afraid at the moment and the video isn't much better. They don't give you an idea of the size against the full size adults. Not very exciting as they are hard to capture but this shows the third struggling and I don't think he has made it. The other two however were out again today but are very camera shy!

The third has not been seen for days so i presume he didn't make it. The other two are alot more adventurous. they hang out at the top at feeding time and then disappear the rest of the time. Starting to fill out a bit more now as well.
