Hi all, just got my first Toby and I was surprised to find that these guys pair up in the wild so of course I want to get him/her a buddy.
Does anyone know of any good resources for sexing / breeding these guys?
I can find NOTHING - any help would be a godsend.
Thank you all

Re: Canthigaster papua and C. solandri HELP! :)
A male toby puffer has iridescent lines (usually blue-green in color) radiating from the back of the head. Careful not to confuse these with their normal markings, especially on the Solandri. He will also have blue-grey lines under his lower jaws, and a dark patch next to his butt. Females lack all of these features.
In the wild, male tobies keep harems - several females in their territory. Each female will have her own little patch of territory that she keeps to herself. Females don't tolerate each other too well. A male and female would get along well in theory, but if you have more than one female they will likely scuffle unless you have a big tank so that they can establish their own separate territories.
