I was looking at the 55 and noticed a tiny spot swimming around and it can't be anything but a puff cause no other fish have been in the tank since I've had it. I don't know how long ago it hatched or what it is eating if anything... So I don't know if I should just leave it to see what happens or what... Also there's no way I could get a decent pic without a very good camera with a macro lens lol

Congrats! You can try feeding baby brine shrimp. If your tank is moderately decorated, cant tell from the close up, I would assume they could be alright. If not possibly try to get some more hiding places. Good luck!

Thanks, yeah they're staying around the swords... Should I get a breeder net for them? I just saw two more so I'm up to 4 baby puffs!

I would definitely put them in a net, so they can get at the food. Be sure to put a bushy plant in there.

Not good... Lost one and I don't think the others will make it... Hard to get them to eat :(

Most puffer fry are too small to eat commercial foods unfortunately. In the wild they rely on infusoria, which in captivity we have to cultivate separately, along with live foods for the infusoria as well. This makes breeding puffers other than DPs quite a complex undertaking.

Yeah, I'll have to get some started to be able to feed the babies that hatch out of the current eggs

Also try freshly hatched Artemia. They should be small enough for this species and are easy to raise.

Thanks, but I think I'm going to start a micro worm culture... The babies seem most attracted to worms in the water... I had a few in the daphnia someone sent me and they ate those but ignored the daphnia that I spent $20 on :eyeroll:
