Breeding Arrowheads

I am wanting to do a breeding project with arrowheads. I have read the information that is attached to their puffer pedia page, but I still have one question. If any of you have done this or are doing it, I would like to know how you got a pair in the first place, or, what "method" did you use to get them paired up in the first place.

No, I missed that one! Still learning my way around! So basically, this person just put them in a large tank together and lucked out with a pair? Is there any other way that might work or is it just trial and error and hoping for the best?

I believe they wound up eventually killing each other.

I would bet that would be the commonest outcome. Co-housing territorial puffers is not an easy task. I have never tried w/the lurkers, but I would start w/the fish in a separate but shared-water system (so they could both see and detect each other but w/o physical contact until you could detect some breeding interest before you attempt any direct contact. It would still be a high-risk operation.

FWIW

The pair went on to breed many more times until circumstances forced me to sell the pair. They never killed nor were aggressive to each other whilst in the same tank.

Duh... my bad, I think I was thinking of the M Cochinchinensis someone had bred here.
