yet more questions lol, sorry for all these!! just wanna try n do things right a few weeks ago, i found tiddles, a titchy baby dwarf puffer swimming bout in my dps tank. at the minute, hes in a little floating baby tank thingy, but hes growing so i dont wanna leave him there 2 long. what i wanna know is if i put him in the tank with the 3 dps that are already in there, will they accept him, or would he get bullied etc? i have got a small tank i could put him in instead if thats a better choice, but if poss i would like him with the others.anyone got any advice on this?
cheers
I think it'd be okay. As he grows, if he's actually a male, it could throw gender ratios off, depending on what you already have in there. But for now, I don't see much of a problem. DPs are pretty accepting of each other, generally speaking. He was okay until you found him, right?
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."
yeh thats true, he was ok till then but he was hiding, so maybe none of the others had noticed him!! ( not sure why i keep calling it him btw lol, no idea if its a girl or boy yet ) and as for gender ratios, atm i have 2 boys n 1 girl at the min. thanks for help anyways ill let him out 2moro n see how it goes

yeh well i guess tiddles wont b living in that tank then still might move all the dps into my saps tank, but not until im sure the whitespot is gone from that tank. i think i might have more babies before long aswel, sugar and diddy have been doing a lot of their mating behaviour again 2day and yesterday so cute
Ohh. You're using it as a quarantine? Well, that's not so bad. Just keep the water changes up. You could have two in the 9 gallon, that's it. Two (including Tiddles) will have to go. More behavior?

nope, its not a quarantine tank...ive always had my dps in that tank when i got them, i didnt know they needed 3 gallons each etc. but i have a much bigger tank with my saps in, which i did wanna put the dps in aswell...but now 1 of the saps has whitespot, so im not putting anything else in the bigger tank until i know its all clear
That's my conclusion, too. I think that 3g can support one's bioload, but they need more than that for swim room.

I have a similar issue. After moving my dwarf puffers into a larger tank and using their old on for my snails I recently found a new puffer in my snail tank. Really happy and growing quickly, explained why I wasn't getting and new snails. I'm letting it get bigger before I try to move it into the tank with the rest of the puffers. Hopefully They'll accept it.
