hi,
this species has, as i know never been bred in captivitiy therefore i doubt that.
the juvenile fish in the film do not behave like tipical pufferfish-fry as they are swimming so fast. the last picture does also not look like puffer fry, but it is hard to tell. try a better quality picture!
here for example pictures of eggs an larvae of carinotetraodon travancoricus: http://www.kugelfischforum.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=100
another example: pictures of monotrete cochinchinensis: http://www.kugelfischforum.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=119 the first picture shows an about two weeks old fish.

They seem to be fry. Grow them! Martin, care to elaborate on that link? You know what babblefish does to conversational german.

That last picture just seemed way too long and thin for a puffer. It looks exactly like the guppy fry I used to have all the time. I hope they're puffers, though!
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."
