Trick to get puffer to eat clam

Post by bengo »

Hey all. I have my Hairy puffer whom I got clams on the half shell from the LFS. Want to get something with more crunch other than just shrimp. Ive offered it to him a couple times but he wont eat it from the shell. Its kind of comical but when I put it in he just sits next to it and stares but never tries to eat it. This morning it was in there for a half hour lol. The moment I pull the meat out of the shell tho he devours it. Any tricks to get them to eat from the shell? Or is he just training me to pull it out for him lol

Try making it look more lively, like bouncing it with a piece of fishing line looped around it.
