Please help me identify puffer

Post by The 1 and only cips »

Hello everybody, I bought some dwarf puffers about a year ago and noticed 1 looked a little different and never thought twice about it until he started getting bigger and bigger. He is about 2 inches right now and is always puffed up like this. He seems healty and eats really good, blood worms and snails. I just cant figure out what kind of puffer he is I've done some research but cant put my finger on what kind he is. Please help

Great find! That is a Ceylon puffer, D fluviatilis.
Same care as the GSP: library/puffers-in-focus/an-introductio ... d-puffers/

Awesome, thank you. I've been looking to get 1 more but it seems they are hard to find. Should I change my water to brackish he has been in freshwater for over a year and seems pretty healthy and happy

Absolutely, you may even want to go up to SW eventually.
