I read somewhere these guys inhabit rocky areas with a bit more flow than most of the lurkers. They may not have the opportunity or need to burrow in this type of habitat. They probably just blend right it with algae and bacteria covered rocks. Might explain why so many people who keep them comment about them being more active than other lurkers.
