Re: One puff not enough, New Suvattii
Thanks for that. I have frozen krill and blood worms but I completely forgot about those. I thought of just the wiggling, moving food.

Re: One puff not enough, New Suvattii
My Hairy will ONLY eat live earthworms. When I 1st got him, he ate everything. I only feed him 1x/week, as many worms as he'll eat.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Re: One puff not enough, New Suvattii
My hairy puff went through phases where it would eat everything but lately will eat earthworms/night crawlers, krill and live shore crabs. I used to be able to feed it shrimp in shell and stuff some pellets in there for it to get extra vitamins and trace elements but it just wont touch a shrimp now for some reason.
I think the Suvattii ate a krill... or it got sucked up in the filter.

He is in hiding for today... the paparazzi was just too much for him!
I will see what he is up to later and see if it is anything interesting, so a 'maybe' to more pics.

Re: One puff not enough, New Suvattii
Well no pics since the little guy is buried and all you see is eyes and snout. But on a fun note, my wife and I went for a little walk down by the water and I brought home some little shore crabs. The Suvattii and hairy both had for crab dinner. The Suvattii totally ambushed the little crab and then promptly buried himself again. Tried to get him to eat another but it was just not in the mood. Anyway I got a few in the fridge for tomorrow’s meal.

Re: One puff not enough, New Suvattii
I think mine hates me... not sure if it will ever interact with me like the one in the video you had sent me. I was hoping it would eventually be like my hairy puff. I guess time will tell.

Oh yeah. It hasn't been that long. Eating and burying is a good sign.

Re: One puff not enough, New Suvattii
The little guy popped out to eat a crab again today. I was surprised to see the start of a belly on him. So it is getting enough food.
Todays pic. I love the 'V' marking on its head

Re: One puff not enough, New Suvattii
ahh you guys have got me in trouble with the mrs!!
The company who are shipping my baileyi (arriving tomorrow) also had a suvatti. After following this thread and seeing the pics the temptation was too great so I have added it to the order and setting up another tank!! (ps cyclying is not an issue as i have lots of tanks to borrow mature filter media from )
I'll post pics in due course - roll on tomorrow
