New Tank Water Parameters Question

Post by tmgarcia70 »

Hi! I just started cycling my new 10g tank and am on the 3rd day (2nd day using Fluval concentrated Biological) here are what my readings were today. Does it look like the cycling process is going in the right direction? Should I add more ammonia? My tank will be for 1 or 2 DPs.

Ph - 7.6
Ammonia - 2 ppm
Nitrite - 5 ppm
Nitrate - 40 ppm

Thank you!

Right direction, but it will need a lot more time. Fluval biological has been known not to work, the general consensus is that Tetra SafeStart is much better, so probably go with that.

Or better yet, filter material from an established system.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

tetra safe start is sold by all of the major retailers, on line and big box.
...........google, call & confirm, purchase, follow directions on label, verify results, done.
