Hey all,

Im still learning and my Tetraodon Leiurus (red eye puffer) is seeming happy in the tank.

In 5 days i got him to eat snails, a worm, some cockelflesh and part of the shell and some musselmeat.

Still doesnt seem to attack the small cockels at all. Mostly snails but there arent any in his tank atm. Still breeding.

My question is how often should you feed him? I thought every other day but he doesnt seem to care about most of it much.

Is it because hes just still full? Should i feed him every 2 days? Its a puffer in the Target Puffer family. He is about 7/8cm, just finished the worm treatment. And his belly looks nice and round. No bumps.

Any idea what the issue might be then?

It took me a while to get my new baby fahaka to eat anything but a live worm. After soaking some of his foods in a crushed garlic clove, he goes after everything I put in his tank.

Great read. Thanks! Yea im also not sure how mature mine is. He is about 7/8cm which for a tetraodon leiurus seems to be their max. So maybe going to every two days instead cause of him being a hunter is better? I have no idea how to see if its a mature or juvenile one. Or do you think its best to stick with every other day?

I think since he's more active then an ambush predator, every other day is good.
