Newbie
Hi all! I am in the process of getting 1 DP. I have a 5 gallon tank that I will start the cycling process next week. Any suggestions on substrate, type of filters, heaters and types of decoration besides java moss and ferns? I'm so excited and nervous to just my first DP, just want him or her to be healthy, thriving and happy. Thanks!

Re: Newbie
Yeah, I would suggest you look at the puffer library, but from my experience, the gravel I used was sand, a heater to about 73 degrees, and put a lot of decorations and plants beside the glass because my DP used to surf the glass, but when I did that, it stopped. Another thing is make sure it eats. When you get a puffer, it will probably be very stressed when you take it home, so try to make it eat. If it doesn't eat at all, and it dies, don't worry. Most people who take care of puffers probably know this scenario. Hope this helps!
Hopefully the helps! freshpuffer1
