Baby Fahka tank size

Post by Wagswag »

Hi, i'm getting my Fahka in some days and I have prepared 60 liter tank for him. For how long can I Keep him in that Tank?

I know minimum is 450 liters for a mature fahka. But since i'm Still searching for an ideal tank to buy i was planing to Keep him in the 60 liter for som time. The Fish shop Said it's about 4 cm Long when i get him.

60 liters is tiny. I wouldn't keep your fahaka in there at all, they grow fairly fast. Furthermore, puffers produce a lot of waste, and they are sensitive to water conditions, so even a 4cm fahaka would probably need at least 150 liters. I would highly recommend that you just buy a 450 liter tank now, it will be way easier and cheaper in the long run.
