can you feed pea puffers sea monkeys or is it better to get the proper brine shrimp 🦐 eggs

They are the same thing. Neither are the best food, as they are 98% water & not very nutritious.
Most DPs prefer live blackworms but you can try freeze-dried worms, FD plankton & small peaces of raw seafood.

Yeah, mine has been good with just snails since I got it, and every once in a while it'll catch one of the shrimp I have in the tank to help with algae
