Amazon pea puffers and angelfish

Post by KushLord »

I was wondering if Amazon pea puffers and angelfish could get a long together in 55g aquarium, its heavily planted with and has lots of driftwood and hiding places. I mainly want to use the the puffers as snail maintenance and they could later be moved to their own 40g. I'm not worried about bioload or filtration as for now my 55g is getting a little over 3 1/2 times the filtration it needs.

Pea puffers don't come from the Amazon, they come from Asia. They only eat snails the size of their eye--that's really tiny!

glad you asked
any puffers will probably nip the fins of the angelfish relentlessly

They crush them or just suck out the meat?

My pea puffers have eaten some pagoda snails of substantial size. No shell damage, just sucked out the meat. I thought they would be much to big although unfortunately I was wrong.
