Malaysian Trumpet Snails

Post by LadyHawk »

Hi everyone! I have a quick general questions I'd like to get some opinions for. It seems that using MTS as puffer foods is a mixed bag and I haven't been able to find a definitive answer if it's good or now. Some puffer owners say that they can break teeth; others say they've used MTS as food for years with no problems. Thoughts? I was considering a South American Puffer, but I have numerous MTS in my tank that had been previously maintained by a tiny Dwarf Puffer (she'd suck them right out of their shells: she also lived to be 10 years old!). What are your experiences and recommendations?

She was the happiest, fattest little puff! I bawled my eyes out when she passed. Hubby did too - we're pretty sure she died of old age. Such a sweetie!

I'd say no to MTS & SAPs.
