So my SAPS are hunting down a ton of snails as I find empty shells all over the place in the mornings. I throw in MTS, ramshorn, and bladder snails of all sizes to help keep their beaks filed down. However, none of the shells are broken except for 1 MTS shell. All the others are empty bladder snail shells.
Unfortunately, it seems they are just sucking out the snails rather than crunching on them. Any tips on getting them to actually bite through the shells and eat the snails? FWIW, I give them all sizes of snails thinking they might not be able to eat the larger ones but they suck all of them out, big or small

Yup mine do that too. You could try partially crushing the shell before dropping it in. Some people say that helps
