Anyone interested in a red tail red eye puffer? He's in good shape but he is a fin nipper. I'll sell him for $25

:( just got an email back, he said he's keeping the little guy. It's looking like I'm going to have to open my own pet store to get one.. wholesalers have lorteti and Irrubesco but they're in UK and Australia and they only deal with stores.

Thanks Hadla, I'm really thinking about changing to abei but I have heard very little from anywhere other then articles online. Plus dental work scares the bejeebus out of me, wich is why I was sticking to Carinotetraodons.

BUT my life works backwards. So if I give up and try another species, the next week a lorteti or Irrubesco I had been searching for will pop right up! Irony, I live it

Abei really don't need dental work if fed properly.

This was the puffer I was getting, but then after a week (of me spending money preparing for the fish, setting up accounts to pay him with etc) he decided he was keeping his Lorteti.

I can't say ive ever felt so sad and broken hearted over a still living fish, only when one I cared for deeply passed away. I feel so stupid being this emotionally upset, we were all just really excited in my family... my 5 year old son had even picked out a name. They don't make enough ice cream for the week I have survived, which is likely why I'm especially disappointed. 😔

But as my mother said "you should have known honey! Humans are creatures of habit, and he changed his mind on the 1st guy who lived close enough to drive to, so he was likely going to do the same to you." I hate it when moms right!
