Re: DP diet?
Once I started feeding mine live blackworms, they wouldn't eat anything else. Spoiled brats!

Re: DP diet?
Black worms not available in my area. I feed bloodworm, mysis, snails and a mix of other frozen foods and peas
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly
Re: DP diet?
Thank you!
Are adult brine shrimp any good? I hear they don't have much nutritional value but I don't really know

Not really too much nutritional value, good to add into the mix or to stimulate appetite

Re: DP diet?
Mine go crazy for black worms, they eat snails throughout the day (trumpet and ramshorn but have not tried pond yet but have them building up in another tank now from some that came in on some plants a couple weeks ago), they eat them but kinda look annoyed when given frozen blood worms, and frozen frozen brine shrimp if they are hungry. They ignore adult cherry shrimp but love 1-3 week old cherry shrimp if they can catch then.

Re: DP diet?
As Bertie said, nutritional value is low, but it's SO FUN to watch them chase and eat live BS! I buy them once in a while for a few days of treats.puffy555 wrote:Thank you!

Otherwise, live blackworms are our staple. They can keep for several weeks in the fridge if you rinse them regularly and give them flake food once in a while.
Yo ho, yo ho, a puffer's life for me.
