Your dwarf puffer just has to be digging on life in a major way.

Thank you for sharing your really nice set up.

So it's been a little while and I thought you'd like to see my plant growth.

I don't use any O2 and oxygenation at the surface is minimal.

The tank gets Dennerle V30 Complete all purpose fertiliser continually via a Dennerle Dosator
V30: http://dennerle.com/en/products/aquaris ... 0-complete
Dosator: http://dennerle.com/en/products/aquaris ... on/dosator

It gets a weekly dose of Dennerle S7 Vitamix
http://dennerle.com/en/products/aquaris ... s7-vitamix

And it gets a monthly dose of Dennerle E15 Feractiv
http://dennerle.com/en/products/aquaris ... 5-feractiv
THE PERFECT PLANT FERTILIZATION SYSTEM

The DENNERLE fertilization system consists of a basic fertilization and a supplementary fertilization stage. The basic fertilizers E15 FerActiv iron fertilizer and V30 Complete special fertilizer introduce into the aquarium those nutrients which can remain present for extended periods. The supplementary fertilization, using S7 VitaMix, provides those nutrients which are consumed rapidly and of which a long-term supply cannot be built up. S7 VitaMix is therefore added on a weekly basis.

Totally jelly! Looks like a DP paradise!

I managed to kill a really healthy thick bunch of water wisteria, so I'm done w/ live plants. At least my marimo balls are alive.

Thanks guys :) you probably wouldn't believe the growth on a daily basis. I enjoy looking at the plants as much as the puffer. It's constantly changing in there, this is my first proper planted tank and I couldn't be happier. With tanks in the past I've just used normal aquatic lighting tubes and left the plants to it. They've survived but didn't grow much.

The only thing I need to sort out is how to take decent photos!!!!! I've got a Fuji S5700 camera that I've had for years with what seems to me like a mind boggling amount of settings but no matter what I try the pictures are rubbish :( They're no better than my phone pictures. I don't know what I do wrong, it's not just aquarium pictures that turn out rubbish.

The plants have gone a little bonkers. Not sure whether to trim some back or just leave it. My puffer doesn't seem to have any issues swimming through them and is always picking at things on them. I've been given a hard time when I posted pictures of this tank elsewhere, I'm told it's overgrown and pointless.

I like the dense growth, but would trim slightly.

Might I also suggest at least one slightly enlarged obvious void to allow
your fish to be in-the-clear at random times for your viewing, as well.
