I recently picked up 4 DP's. I think I male and 3 females. I have them in a planted 20g long. The male is chasing one of the females.

Re: Fighting or frisky?
I am going to say friskly. Ive seen my dps go toe to toe ( I guess fin to fin) and it was much more agressive than this.

Just make sure that tank is heavily planted.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Re: Fighting or frisky?
I'll post some pics of the tank. There are quite a few caves and a big hollow log and the plants have been growing for months.
If I identified another male I would have not put it in the tank.
PP did you think it was aggressive behavior then.
Should I remove one of the females? I have another 20long with plants and just cherry shrimp in it.

Re: Fighting or frisky?
I have tried 3x to keep a male with 2 females in my heavily planted 10g but both times I only wound up with 1 puffer.

Wow! I have to admit I have had worse luck with DPs than any other puffer. I will keep an eye out and beef up the plants and decor in the shrimp tank just incase.
