I know it's for planted tanks but DIY can be dangerous and possibly unnecessary. I was aiming more for "what plants do you have that need CO2?".

Highly recommended not to. 3gallon is already small enough and with a added diy co2 system, water parameter it can be very unstable.

Re: CO2 in dwarf puffer tank?
Thanks for good answers, when i wake up This morning my puffer was very "sleepy" and i did see that The water conditions was bad, so I change 50% of the water and took away The CO2 system before i go to school. When i come back everything was good. He is comming and look me deep in my eyes and beggin for food. Now its time for The dayli meal, some melted frozen food and snails;-)

Be sure to pour off the "juice" that frozen food comes with. Rinse in a brine shrimp net. That 5g is going to pollute quickly.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Re: CO2 in dwarf puffer tank?
FYI: All photosynthesis requires carbon (chemical symbol C). Submerse aquatic plants get this most easily from dissolved CO2 gas. But if you have any surface current at all, air exchange at the surface should provide sufficient CO2 for such a small tank. CO2 supplement is relatively easy unless you are working with very high light tanks approaching coral illumination levels. That much light would boil the fish and plants in such tiny tanks.
Do not shoot yourself in the foot. Get a larger tank instead (much cheaper and easier to manage).
