Re: Amazon (sap)
You said you were able to rehome? Did you adopt from someone else or did you find the little guy at a pet store?

aww! Good for you helping them! If you know anyone in the southeastern us who cant care for theirs I would love to help out. I had a SAP, he was the LOVE of my life... he passed away about a month ago, and I miss him terribly.

You are a long way away lol. I started by speaking to Lfs and they give my number for collection of unwanted fish. I also advertise in the classifieds. I do it more for my love of fish than to help others.

Re: Amazon (sap)
Still awaiting new arrivals, keep getting told next Monday. It's cool tho cos I am working on a very long wall tank to move them to, keeps stalling unfortunately. The chimney is likely coming out in my place and I am trying to get a 6.5x 1 ft tank built. Once chimney removed I lose no space if I add this tank lol

Ahh! Sounds nice, best of luck. I'm jealous. Wish I had a tank that size.

Re: Amazon (sap)
I don't have it yet. Have dozens of tanks sitting spare but nowt like this. Between my wife and the builders and moving prospects, plus the peops tank building/ quoting it could be a while. As a temp I have some big plans which will make me unpopular in my house. Mwahaha

Re: Amazon (sap)
I have always wanted a very long but relatively small cross-section tank, but have never had the "place' to use one. It sounds good to me.

It will be lol. Can't wait to see them all buzzing round the 5 footer, got extra snails as a welcome gift and 40 river shrimp in already eating top notch food and veggies, if they choose not to eat the shrimp I will have a cleanup army

Re: Amazon (sap)
Are your river shrimp as god at avoiding being lunch as most shrimp?
None of the Americans I know who have lived in the UK for any length of time have been hobbyists - we can compare fish, but comparing native inverts is tricky.

No our river shrimp are stupid, they make little effort to avoid being eaten.
