I got those from a woman who had them for 17 years, living in a 30g. :( They swam in circles all day long. She was getting evicted & gave them to me. For a day after adding them to my 125g, they still swam in the corner in a tight circle. I'm happy they spent their last 3 years in a much larger tank they could actually swim in & explore. Like I said--Filbert is a one of a kind fahaka.

The woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang the best. Use the talents you possess.

He nipped each of their tail when 1st introduced (welcoming nip?) but has never bothered it since then. I lost the 1st BGK & the old elephants when I accidentally refilled the tank with cold water after a WC.

About 6 months. I'm moving him back to the other tank though. He only eats live blackworms & I'm not feeding it enough to the tank he's in now.
