I'd definitely throw up if I took a tank shot.

I don't think you need such a thick sand bed, as they don't burrow.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

ya, it was set up for a congo. Ive already pulled a bunch of sand out and plan on doing more on the next water change, keep moving over to Bloats tank since he has a very thin layer of sand and lately has started to bury again, also helps keep the plants anchored

Thanks for the compliments, I cant wait for some of those plants to grow. I moved a sword over to the rt corner, bloat kept uprooting it so i just moved it out of his tank lol.

Also he got to see his first crayfish, two actually, and he nailed them both with out hesitation. And seemed to love them, came up out from under the DW with a look like, more please

Looks nice, I say just throw in two big mats of Java Fern, maybe some vals(they can drape over the top) or floating plants and call it a day.

Lol I wish mine would take down a Cray or two. how big were the Crays? I am thinking of breeding some CPO(s).

I breed marbled crays, the were less then half inch each.

This little snot does more plant trimming then Bloat(my fahaka) has ever done. Everyday when I get home from work I find another leaf, or stem and leaf floating from where he has bit it off lol

The java fern I have just released a small piece and I moved it onto the DW in hopes it will root there. And I do want to find some small floating plant to put in it, but I need to find a clamp on lamp(easy I know) to use for light, instead of using my kitchen light

For the lamp I use a refugium PC clamp on lamp at 20 watts, It seems to work pretty well but I do get some algae...

My new guy, which I think I am going to name Huey, attacking a crayfish. This is how he always attacks. He is getting the name huey cause my gf says he reminds her of a helicopter the way he hovers and turns, the way he attacks reminds me of a helicopter also

went to micheals and bought some silk plants, cut them up and siliconed(aquarium safe) them to some rocks. I think it turned out great and for 1/3 of the price of the fake plants at any LFS.

And here is my GFs 29g done with black rocks, and plants done the same way
