I have 3 SAP's, one of which hunts for food and eats a lot more than the others.
Today I feed them some bloodworms and snails. Shortly after feeding I found some eggs and after some watching noticed my corydora laying them like crazy. Of course the chubby eater has been eating all the eggs. Instead of a nice rounded belly it is round like a ball. Looks funny. Can they eat too much or are they smart enough to know their limit? I want hime to be healthy.
Also I took a video and some lousy pictures of him eating eggs off the glass and undermside of a plant. I will post soon once I figure out how.
Thanks in advance.

mine did that also... try scattering the food all over the place. The other option as RTR mentioned is to feed at night when the lights are out and hopefully they will have to hunt for it in the morning. But Yes, they can over indulge. You'll have to be careful.
if you follow me, you avoid stepping in the crap that I just did...

One of my sap's is the same way. They live with a small group of bleeding heart tetra which are super fast at feeding time (I swear they move lightning speed). However, Tito still gets huge at every feeding. He's so greedy!

I have a puffer like that, almost two actually. One shows much less interest in feeding. One, a good amount, and finally the last eats way to much and loves to eat... his name is Tu. Hopefully you will not have too many issues with more egg laying from your Corydoras in the future.. :/ Has it ever lain eggs before?

Oops, didn’t realize this post was so old!! If you see this, do you still have puffers by any chance?
