LFS selling suvattii as brackish =/

Post by Dave »

I argued with the fish manager for a while but he would not listen to reason :( His arguement was that they can tolerate light brackish water. I told him he was not a F8 and he is freshwater only for his entire life. And again, he stated, that they do fine in brackish water.

Just for comparison's sake, I'm sure we'd all do fine in a nuclear fallout zone, but our lifespans would be drastically decreased =/

$49.99... and I have nowhere to put him.

Why not print the article we have here on them for him & recommend he visit the most imformative puffersite in the world, if he has any questions?

Selling it as brackish seems a little odd, I mean, surely that would make it less accessible to customers?

Trying to understand the rationale of irrational/invalid LFS practices is beyond me.

This is a Petland. They have recently renovated and have upgraded all the tanks. So far, their fish have been very healthy and well kept. I do not buy from them, but swung by on this occasion since I was in the area.

I believe they are advertising it as a BW fish to demand more money for it. All the suvattiis I've seen have been in the 20$ price range. Regardless, wrong is wrong.

They have changed it to freshwater and his colour has improved!

Now if only I had space to take him home....
