Hi, I am new to this forum and to owning puffers. We are setting up our tank while we wait for the aquarium store near us to get in some Amazon puffers. My son is a zoo keeper and very into exhibit design, so he has a plan for a tank with both aquatic and non-aquatic plants growing out of it. It should be a very awesome setup, but we are a bit worried about whether the puffers are likely to jump out of it if we don’t have a lid which we can’t because of the plants. Is having a lot of floating plants a way to keep them from jumping?
Thanks, and I am looking forward to learning more about these amazing fish!

Re: Hello!
Welcome!
Puffers are well known for jumping out, so a god lid is a must.

I haven't seen these species in quite some time.
