Hello - I'm new n need help with identification

Post by Dhoris »

Hi, I'm new to rearing pufferfish. Discovered this puffer forum via google and i am very glad to be here. I am from Malaysia. Hope all of you can guide me in rearing this particular fish.

I bought this freshwater puffer today. The LFS told me it is a Fahaka and can grow up to a feet long. Can anyone help confirm it is a Fahaka?

[welcome]
Yes, that is a severely emaciated fahaka puffer. Please do treat for internal parasites.

Melafix is only an antiseptic, for bacterial issues. No idea what that "yellow powder" is. You need an anti-parasitic.
