Hello everyone! SAPs here

Hi there. I’ve been fascinated by puffers since high school. After some recent research, I decided to get SAPs. Due to tank restraints, I opted for three for now and have had them for two weeks. They’re all pretty small, about an inch long.
I’ve discovered that they are very picky eaters and only take bloodworms. They only picked at the clam in a half shell, ignored the rams horn snails, and flat out rejected the shrimp I offered.
Despite their picky eating habits, these little guys are mesmerizing to watch!

Hello!!

I have three SAP’s as well and love them.. Fortunately I have not had any issues with them pickiness wise, but I could suggest to you what mine like. They love small snails (size of their eye), small slow sinking pellets such as Saki hikari (goldfish food, but i figure the variety can’t hurt ? ), mysis shrimp, algae wafers (they steal from my pleco), and occasionally krill, which they seem to prefer on the more frozen vs thawed side (?).. Mine also do not like clam on the half shell, although i’ve never tried soaking it in garlic. Do you know what the place you bought them from fed them..? Also, do you have any pictures of them? If they are still skinny, it could be better to let them fatten on bloodworms first and then you can try to get them interested in some of their foods..?

Anyway, good luck! They are very fun and cute! :)
