Hello Everyone.. Im William from MN. I am a proud owner of a baby Fahaka Puffer. (About 2") ive had him for about 2 months. Right now he is housed in a 30gal. More of a quarantine tank. He has/had Camallanus worms. Been soaking his food in Fish Bendazole and 30% wc every 3 days. He was quite infested when i got him. After 3 doses i dont see anymore hanging out his butt. Hes very active and eats like crazy. I plan on doing 2 more treatment just to be safe before he goes to his new home I have a cycled 125gal up and running. It houses my 9" Green Terror, 3" Oscar and 3" Firemouth. The GT and Ocsar will be moving into a 75 gal after i finish the stand and canopy. Firemouth will stay with puffer.

Firemouth will most likely be food for your fahaka.

The Firemouth will be moved once i finish my 2 75gal tanks. The 2nd 75 will be for a pair of Abei or some active puffer.

He may not last the night.
I would not suggest keeping more than 1 abei. Good luck finding one, I've been trying for years... Ordered on from a photo & was sent a turgidus.

The Fahaka has been living with mollies and platys that are in my quarantine tank. He nipped a few tails but all are still living. They just know to stay out of his way.

Well it must be a pretty good life.. Lol I got about 15 platy fry i just in the plants. Hes definitely more timid. Even during feeding time. He waits till the big platys eat their portion of frozen shrimp hed rather pick up scraps. I figured he would chase them and they would have been eaten 2 months ago. My Chinese algae eater is the only one who has had his tail nipped. But havent lost one and like i said we have platy fry. Maybe I can train him to know that those arent food and im the beholder of food.. Probably not. Lol
