Re: New to the world of puffers and online forums!
The purchase order at the store when they got it said it was travancoricus. But that doesn't mean it couldn't be a mix up. It is probably about half an inch right now so if it was a red eye it would most likely be young. I'm just very interested in what you guys have to say now that I'm not worried about its eating habits now. If it was a red eye i would be excited and probably head down to petco and get a 20 long for it instead of my 10 gallon since they have the dollar per gallon right now. But either way I just can't wait for my 10 to cycle so I can give it it's own home.

I still think it's a baby irrubesco. I'll tag Marco in this one to be sure.

Probably no female C. lorteti oder female C. irrubesco in my opinion, also no C. imitator. More likely a C. travancoricus like this one: https://rybicky.net/obr/ryby/max/5372.jpg Give it some months to be sure.

The smallest C. irrubeco I have seen looked more like this: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Pm4OGMf3HVg/mqdefault.jpg with a somewhat reticulated coloration of the darker lateral band just like the adult females.
