Hello New to the forum

New to the puffer world, but not to fish keeping. Got my first puffer coming in Thursday pretty excited for his homecoming.

One question why do all my post and replies need to be approved?

Make sense!

Well I have my first puffer being shipped to arrive on Thursday. Its a fresh water puffer that has yet to be correctly ID'd, I guess we'll have to wait until he comes home so I can take better pictures. He will be going into a 40b tank that is up and ready to go, has decor and plants to keep the little guy distracted.

I've been told by someone with really good puffer knowledge that I may have a Tetraodon Duboisi, here are the only two pics I have as of now. Thoughts and comments are appreciated.

Welcome! Goooorgeous little guy.

May I ask where did you have ur puffer shipped from? I've been driving as far as an hour+ to find an Abei puffer / scoping out reputable LFS in hopes they cld find one for me in the future. Basically doing my homework, and making sure I vote ethically w/ my $$.

Hi all,

I'm new to puffers but not to aquarium keeping. I've recently changed my 5ft x 2ft x 2ft Turtle tank into a puffer tank. It stopped being a Turtle tank when my Turtle (Common Musk) somehow managed to find a way of escaping while I was on holiday. I came home and found her down the back of my tank. :(

Anyway, onward and upward. I did toy with the idea of getting a puffer before my Turtle so I've now finally done it.

This is Pharaoh Farquaad the Fahaka Puffer. I got him nearly 3 weeks ago. He's around 2" and growing, although he only seems interested in eating frozen blood worm atm.
