HEY
Hello everyone I am brand new to fish keeping in general. I discovered Puffers while doing research on aggressive fish which was prompted by research on cichlids. The cichlids were my original choice for a first fish but I have since fallen in love with the dwarf puffer fish. As I am around the corner from officially having my tank set up, I decided to take a look again at puffer information and found this forum. I never knew that there were other puffer fish outside of the Dwarf Puffer for freshwater tanks. I am very excited to learn as much as I can from this forum, I know the value that these forums have after being a member of aquascapimg world forums. Get ready for my questions cause they are coming!!!

Re: HEY
Bumblebee gobies need brackish water, and dwarf puffers are straight freshwater. So your answer is, F8s.

Re: HEY
I just got F8s, too. Pretty neat little fish. I don't think I'll put anything in with them, though. Bumblebee gobies are cute, though!

Re: HEY
So far I've had good luck with the F8, BBG combination...And they happen to also be in a 29g.
I bought the last two BBGs in Dayton about a month ago and haven't seen anymore since. I got them at Jack's but they can't get any more. I talked to Pet Supplies Plus on Stroop and they say they can order BBGs and some more DPs. I bought my DPs there and they were actually in stock at the time.
Did you buy your F8s at Gerber's or Jack's.~reefchik~ wrote:I just got F8s, too. Pretty neat little fish. I don't think I'll put anything in with them, though. Bumblebee gobies are cute, though!

There are many knowledgeable fish keepers on this forum willing to help and give great advice...The advice is free; What you choose to do with it gives it value.

Re: HEY
I got them at Gerber's. He's got a bunch of puffers in stock now, larger GSPs, Fugus, and Figure 8s. I watched the F8s and GSPs carefully for a long time hoping to spot another species but I think that's what they all are.
