A Place For Pets - Burien, Washington

Post by DMD123 »

A Place For Pets in Burien, Washington has been a long time favorite pet store of mine. Its about a 40 minute drive for me so I dont make it up there as often as I would like. Lots of cichlids, Central and South American along with a pretty good selection of Africans. You will occasionally spot a puffer in there. This is where I had my first encounter with a little Fahaka that wanted to bite me through the glass. :D

Ive been eyeballing a little Congo they have right now.....

The Congo is just one of the light brown ones. If it were a red/orange type I would have bought it.

Awh... yeah, I've always wanted a red congo. I haven't seen one yet at my LFS. I went today to get some feeder fiddler crabs, but I didn't have time to browse..

I saw a red congo probably about two years ago but was not interested in puffers then. Now that I have the tank and its been set up and cycled, I cant find what Im looking for.

Been a while and thought this should be updated.

The store has went through changes in ownership and has a different feel about it. Gone are those rare gems you would find. Havent seen any puffer there, nor anything else of much interest. Seem to focus more on the fast selling bread and butter type stuff with rare fishes not really seen as often.
