I dunno if its thru the entire chain but Petco has re-launched the $1 per gallon sale in my neck of the woods! I almost got me a 20G long aquarium with my $25 pals rewards coupon that I received today. Instead I wound up getting me a bag of Instant Ocean and fish food. lol

However if you want to get your puffer buddies a nice upgrade tank now is the time to do it!

Its that time again. Got the Petco email that the $1 per gallon sale is back on. The sale goes from June 29 to July 12

What size does that go up to?

Its only on the 10g, 20g, 29g, 40B and 55g. They dont say 20L but it has been included.

Yeah, I want a 40B, 20Long and a 10.. Let's see if I can talk the wife into it....

I would like being a snowbird, but then I could not keep the tanks.

Not to be outdone, but Petsmart has also been doing tank sales and have one going on in conjunction with the Petco sale

Petsmart's sale is $2 per gallon, but they include a hood/light combo. I saw some reviews that said it included the fluorescent tube also. I guess if you have to buy tops and a light with the Petco tank it would be a bit cheaper to do the Petsmart tank combo depending on size.

My 40B stand is not designed to hold a tank on the bottom but I built a shelf out of plywood and just got through banding the edge, sanding and staining. Now to let it dry and I can set up the 20L under the 40B. I wanted a 29g but it was just too tall to do it. I would only have like 5" to access it for cleaning and I know it would be too tight.

Here is a cool thing to think about if you want a 29 gallon. At Petsmart ($2 per gallon sale) they have the tank for $58 and it includes a hood/light combo. The part that is cool is that these have the black silicone. If you have ever had the black silicone you know it is nice and hides algae growth really well.

Now, what do I do with an empty 30 x 12 x 12 tank?

Tomoorow( July 1st ) is Moving Day in Quebec* so there's generally lots of cheap or free second hand tanks avaible on Kijiji and the like.
