The Wet Spot??????????

Has anyone bought fish and had them shipped from The Wet Spot in Oregon? I've been wanting a C. irrubesco, can't find any locally, and just found one on Aquabid.com. I found a thread on here that said people have had terrible experiences with Aquariumfish.net, and I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with Aquabid or The Wet Spot. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated... good experiences, bad experiences, recommend buying from them, stay away, etc... Thanks! :D

I'm not sure why this post was moved... this is a question regarding a website and by no means my favorite pet store.. I've never been here before, just wondering on reputable places to purchase fish. Thanks.

Not sure about your post being moved but I have heard lots of good reviews about Aquabid as a few of the forum members use it. Me personally I never have bought fish online as I have always trusted the LFS with their selection and ordered a fish thru them if needed.

Well, they arrived this morning and in good health! These are very awesome little fish... wow!!

The only thing is I received 2 males instead of 2 females. :?
Not sure if that is a recipe for disaster or not...

I will, thank you! I have a qt tank cycled just incase there is aggression, but so far so good!

Thanks for all the responses about buying online... it sure helps to know other experiences to get through the uncertainty of the shipping process.
If anyone is considering ordering through The Wet Spot, I highly recommend it! :D

The Wet Spot is one of my favorite fish stores for sure. My wife and I drive down to Portland, Oregon about twice a year for weekend getaways. We like to go because they have no sales tax and we will stock up and do some shopping. Its about a two hour drive from Tacoma, Washington but well worth it. I always end up stopping there and many times I end up with a fish following me back.

On my last visit a month ago, had this little guy come home with me:

Its an L114, or a leopard cactus pleco. He currently is in my 72g bowfront with plans of putting him in my 210g in the future.

They also have a great online section to buy from and when I dont want to drive two hours to go there, I have ordered from them. They are also one of the few stores in my area that even have puffers. If you ever get the chance to be in Portland, Oregon this place is a must see for sure. You can also check out their web site and see pictures of the store.
