Chat and The Puffer Forum
Hello everyone and thank you for visiting The Puffer Forum!
Lately we have had an issue with "chatter" in the posts making sorting through them for Moderators very difficult. While we do not want to discourage chat between our members we do want to redirect it elsewhere. We understand it is easy to stray from an original topic but the more posts that do not pertain to that subject is another one our staff has to thumb through. Logging on and seeing 750 new posts is very difficult for us to keep up with.
It also gets frustrating for the OP when the questions that were asked weren't answered or they have to search through 7 pages of chat that doesn't even pertain to the topic that they posted to find answers.
We want to keep TPF a fun place to come and share stories and pictures and whatever else but we also want to keep it an information site and a place that people can come when they have an emergency and need to be helped immediately. So we are asking, please ans keep to the topics and any other chat please move to the Chat Room or Lounge. In the case that the chat does not cease in frequency, we are going to have to begin deleting unnecessary posts to make the workload lighter for our staff.
Thank You Very Much!! And we are glad you are here!

Yes I was involved, I will admit it, but we do have to keep to the general ideas of the site in mind. We can still chat and have a good time, just sequester it where it is supposed to be. I still love yous!

Hey, I think that the young people are the future! I mean, when PP and Chin are gone, who's gonna learn from those guys (sorry, girls)? Us. And then what? We have to share our knowledge!

A sensible announcement.
All the jabbering in some threads can become annoying especially when you're trying to answer a serious question or have a good discussion.

I like how PP and groov didn't stay on topic
This is easier for me too, cause It's too confusing to join a thread that is not remotely related to the original subject.

Like that would ever happen... I'm very happy about this topic. It was getting sorta confusing having huge convos on topics about fish health lol.groovitudedude wrote:FEWF, for a second there, I thought I would have to start giving HELPFUL advice
