New green spotted puffer stringy things on his skin

I have a new green spotted from petco. After 3 days of him eating ok I started to add some marine salts to gradually get it to a more marine environment. After adding a very small amount of salt (1/2 cup for 10 gallons of instant ocean) I started to see these stringy like things on his belly floating under as he swam. Are these parasites? will general cure fix this? I will try to get a pic if needed but its hard
I expected parasites and ordered general cure and also just want to run it through all my tanks.
The puffer is in the 10 gallon because I expected to have to medicate the fish and didn't want to get my 30gallon dirty and will be moved soon as the meds are done.
