Chomper has been doing very well for so long! And then this morning as I turned on his light before coming to work I noticed he was being very differnt than normal.
Normally he wakes up when I come into the room and he zips up to me and the black on his belly from sleeping fades away and within 1 minute he is fully awake and active and nice looking.
Today, he was swimming slowly around the top of the tank kinda like a zombie, LOTS of black and wasn't responding much. He seemed off balance, like he was kind of floating sideways. Then he curled up in a ball and looked somewhat puffed, like he squeezed his tail downwards, so he looked puffed. His tail stayed spread open the whole time.
I hae no water readings as I was just on my way out to work, now I'm at work and worried !!!!! His eye also looked a little bruises and sticking out, I've seen that before and that fixed itself in a few hours.
I'm afraid Little One might nip at his eye if he sees it's messed up, you know?
Is it possible he ate a stone ?
I fed them a snail I found outside last night.... which I don't normally do.....
But I cut it in half and they shared it and only Chomper is doing this....

Since this board has been up, we have found there are several questions that routinely get asked in order to help diagnose problems. If you can have that information to begin with in your post, we'll be able to help right away (if we can!) without having to wait for you to post the info we need.
1) Your water parameters - pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates and salinity (if appropriate). This is by far the most important information you can provide! Do not answer this with "Fine" "Perfect" "ok", that tells us nothing. We need hard numbers.
2) Tank size and a list of ALL inhabitants. Include algae eaters, plecos, everything. We need to know what you have and how big the tank is.
3) Feeding, water change schedule and a list of all products you are using or have added to the tank (examples: Cycle, Amquel, salt, etc)
4) What changes you've made in the tank in the last week or so. Sometimes its the little things that make all the difference.
5) How long the aquarium has been set up, and how did you cycle it? If you don't know what cycling is read this: Fishless Cycling Article and familiarize yourself with all the information. Yes. All of it.
We want to help, and providing this information will go a LONG way to getting a diagnosis and hopeful cure that much faster.
While you wait for assistance:
One of the easiest and best ways to help your fish feel better is clean water! If you are already on a regular water change schedule (50% weekly is recommended) a good step to making your fish more comfortable while waiting for diagnosis/suggestions is to do a large water change immediately. Feel free to repeat daily or as often as you can, clean water is always a good thing! Use of Amquel or Prime as a dechlor may help with any ammonia or nitrite issues, and is highly recommended.
Note - if you do not normally do large water changes, doing a sudden, large water change could shock your fish by suddenly changing their established water chemistry. Clean water is still your first goal, so in this case, do several smaller (10%) water changes over the next day or two before starting any large ones.

Hey how big is your GSP's and how long you had them? what size tank? feeding regime? ( these ?s have nothing to do with help. but Im trying see a pattern in GSP sizes and growth for my own research THX) They look fat and healthy.

they usually eat krill, bloodworms, baby brine shrimp, mussels, and sometimes LFS snails and mealworms (rarely)
but last night they had a snail from outside, so I would guess that's what's up.
Also one small guppy from a mother that died a few months ago at the old place. when i moved, i only brought 1 guppy and left the rest behind.

I don't know what to do ! It's been all day and he's still acting like that.

the snail was from the forest
i believe that was the issue because he's getting better, and having horrible poops, like diarrhea it's super runny.

and yes there is a guppy its been there since it was born, i took the rest of the guppies out and left them behind when i moved 2 months ago and kept the smallest one in there.
Today he is swimming around and coming to say hi to me so he is much better. The only thing I notice to day is that he is still black.
Definitely better than yesterday!

My Jillybean gets like that when she eats too much. I suspect the problem was that your puffer is fat
