Wall backings

Post by Ti_CLaD »

What do you guys put on the walls in back of your aquariums???

I have a standard gyproc painted wall, but it's wine red, so you can clearly see that the area surrounding the aquarium is lighter spotted by the salty waters fumes/evaporation. We're trying to clean it out right now and it's not working too great, it stays stained.

Do you have cleaning technics and/or ideas for wall protection not to end up making it rot??? We thought maybe a transparent taping on the wall or ceramic backing???

I love the look of those things. When i've looked at diy 3d backgrounds they use a special type of paint, so it might be worth giving it a spruce up?

Would love to find out about this too! Can you make them for saltwater tanks?
Never trust big puffers. The fingers you save may be your own. -RTR
