Building / Purchasing Large Tank

Post by Mattbruce »

Hello Guys,

Been told that the Mbu needs a lot of room to live.

I have a Mbu "Sugar Puff" currently ~5", I am planning to build or get him a much bigger home.

Anybody got any build threads / link to where you can get a good quality tank large enough to house a Mbu?

Cheers

I can't recommend any manufacturers because I haven't used them but I did look at obtaining a few quotes recently. If you type 'bespoke aquariums UK' into Google a load of results will show up. All seemed to do fairly similar stuff and I've got to say I was disappointed in the lack of variety out there.

From memory I think it was ND Aquatics that gave the cheapest quote.

If you wanted to build one yourself you could try to work out your glass thickness here: http://www.theaquatools.com/building-your-aquarium

Not sure if it would tell you how many braces or the sizes of the braces that would be required though.
